Display shows dO or “door” and an alarm sounds even when the door appears closed.

Safety: Disconnect power before working on the door switch or control panel.

• 1. Check door closure: Ensure nothing is blocking the door from closing fully (shelves, bottles, gasket folds). Verify that the door is level and aligned with the cabinet.
• 2. Inspect door gasket: Look for warped or torn gasket sections that prevent full closure. Replace the gasket if necessary.
• 3. Locate door switch: Depending on the model, the switch may be a plunger-style switch in the frame or a magnetic reed switch hidden in the cabinet with a magnet in the door.
• 4. Test the switch: With the unit unplugged, remove the switch or access its wiring. Use a multimeter to check continuity while pressing the plunger or placing a magnet near the reed switch. Replace the door switch if it does not change state.
• 5. Check wiring to control board: Verify continuity from the switch to the main control board. Repair any broken or pinched wires.
• 6. Control board input: If the switch and wiring are good, the control board may not be recognizing the closed signal. Replace the main control board if needed.
• 7. Test alarm: Restore power and confirm that the door alarm no longer sounds when the door is closed and that the dO code is cleared.
