How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or glass fascia.
F12 points to a problem with the keypad or touch sensor assembly.
- 1. Clean the control surface:
- Wipe the glass or plastic control area with a soft, dry cloth.
- Remove any moisture, grease, or residue that may interfere with touch sensing.
- 2. Power reset:
- Unplug the unit for 5–10 minutes, then restore power and test the controls.
- 3. Inspect the UI assembly:
- Remove the trim to access the back of the control panel.
- Check the keypad or touch PCB for cracks or corrosion.
- 4. Check connections:
- Reseat the harness or ribbon cable between the keypad and UI board, and between UI board and main board.
- 5. Replace keypad/touch module:
- If specific buttons never respond or F12 persists, replace the Miele keypad or touch sensor module as a complete assembly.
- 6. If issue remains: A defective UI controller or main board may be responsible; professional diagnosis is recommended.
