Display shows F9 and the wine cooler may not respond to temperature changes; setpoint cannot be adjusted correctly.

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or top trim. Static discharge can damage electronic boards.

F9 indicates a communication or hardware fault between the user interface and the main control board.

• 1. Inspect the control panel:
  • Check for signs of moisture, condensation, or liquid spills around the display and buttons.
  • Dry the area thoroughly if moisture is present.
• 2. Access the UI connections:
  • Remove the top or front trim to expose the control panel (refer to your model’s layout).
  • Locate the ribbon cable or harness connecting the UI to the main board.
• 3. Reseat connectors:
  • With power off, unplug the ribbon cable from both the UI and main board.
  • Inspect for bent pins, corrosion, or damage.
  • Reconnect firmly, ensuring the cable is fully seated and not twisted.
• 4. Visual inspection of boards:
  • Look for burnt components or cracked solder joints on the UI and main board.
• 5. Replace faulty UI:
  • If buttons or touch areas are unresponsive and F9 persists, replace the Miele user interface/control panel assembly.
• 6. Main board replacement: If a known-good UI and cable still result in F9, the main control board is likely defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
