How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing interior panels or fans.
- Compare zones: Use thermometers in both zones to confirm the problem is isolated to one section.
- Check fan operation: With power restored briefly, listen for fan operation in both zones. If one zone’s fan is silent, troubleshoot that fan motor and wiring.
- Inspect air damper: Some dual-zone Monogram models use a motorized damper to share cooling. Access the damper (often between zones) and ensure it moves freely and is not stuck closed.
- Sensor check: Each zone may have its own thermistor. Test the sensor in the warm zone and replace if faulty.
- Control board outputs: If the fan and damper hardware are good but not receiving power, the main control board may have a failed output for that zone and need replacement.
After repair, allow several hours for both zones to reach their set temperatures.
