Possible Causes

Loose or damaged ribbon cable between UI and main control board, Failed touch control panel, Faulty main control board communication circuit, Moisture intrusion into control panel area

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or top trim.

  • Inspect control panel area: Remove the decorative trim or screws securing the control panel (often at the top front of the wine cooler). Carefully pull the panel forward.
  • Check ribbon cable: Locate the flat ribbon or harness connecting the user interface to the main control board. Ensure it is fully seated and not kinked, torn, or corroded at the connector.
  • Dry moisture: If there are signs of condensation or liquid spills near the controls, gently dry the area with a lint-free cloth. Allow the panel to air dry completely before reassembly.
  • Visual inspection of UI board: Look for burnt components, corrosion, or cracked solder joints on the user interface PCB. If damaged, replace the UI/control panel assembly with the correct Monogram part.
  • Check main control board: At the rear of the unit, inspect the main control board connector where the UI cable plugs in. Reseat the connector and look for damage. If E6 persists after reseating and UI replacement, the main control board may need replacement.

After reassembly, restore power and test all buttons and display functions.
