Possible Causes

Misplaced cabinet thermistor too close to warm area, Stuck relay on main control board keeping compressor on too long, Faulty temperature sensor reading too warm, Control board software/calibration issue

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing interior panels or the control board.

  • Verify with thermometer: Place a separate thermometer in the center of the cabinet and compare to the display. If the actual temperature is much lower, the control system is misreading.
  • Check sensor placement: Remove the interior panel and ensure the cabinet thermistor is properly clipped in the designed location, not dangling or pressed against the warmest or coldest surfaces.
  • Inspect control board relays: At the main control board, look for a compressor relay stuck closed (signs of heat damage). If the compressor runs even when the setpoint is reached and the board is not cycling it off, replace the main control board.
  • Replace sensor if needed: If the thermistor reads incorrectly when tested with a multimeter, replace it with the correct Monogram part.
  • Adjust setpoint: As a temporary measure, raise the set temperature a few degrees and monitor. This does not fix a faulty sensor but may protect wine until repairs are made.

After repair, verify stable temperatures over 24 hours.
