Possible Causes
Damaged or hardened door gasket, High room humidity, Frequent door opening, Door not closing fully due to misalignment
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal electrical work is required for this fault.
- Check gasket condition: Inspect the door gasket all around for splits, deformation, or areas not contacting the cabinet frame.
- Test seal: Close the door on a thin piece of paper at various points. If the paper pulls out easily without resistance, the seal is weak there.
- Adjust door: Level the cabinet and adjust hinges if possible so the door closes squarely. Ensure shelves or bottles are not preventing full closure.
- Replace gasket: If the gasket is damaged or permanently deformed, replace it with a Montpellier-specific door gasket. Warm the new gasket with a hairdryer (on low) to help it seat properly.
- Control humidity: In very humid rooms, some condensation is normal. Reduce humidity or move the unit to a drier location if possible.
