Door Switch or Door Sensor Error
Wine cooler shows E7, interior light and controls may still work but cooling is disabled

Possible Causes
Faulty magnetic reed door switch, Misaligned door magnet, Broken door switch wiring, Main PCB input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing any trim or control panels.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and the gasket is not obstructing the latch area. Gently press the door closed and see if the error clears.
- Locate door switch: On many Montpellier wine coolers, the door switch is a small plunger or magnetic sensor near the top or side of the cabinet opening, or integrated behind the control panel.
- Test with magnet: If it is a magnetic reed switch, hold a small magnet over the sensor area with the door open. If the interior light goes off or the error clears, the door magnet in the frame may be weak or misaligned.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the inner trim or control panel to access the switch wiring. Check for loose connectors or damaged wires.
- Replace faulty parts: Install a new Montpellier door switch or door magnet as required. Align the magnet so it sits directly opposite the sensor when the door is closed.
- PCB check: If the switch and magnet are good but E7 persists, the main PCB door input circuit may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
