Possible Causes

Door left open or not sealing, Recent large warm load added, Failed compressor or Peltier module, Refrigerant leak or blocked capillary, Evaporator fan not running

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: No internal live work is required for basic checks, but unplug the unit if you remove panels.

  • Check door and gasket: Ensure the door is fully closed and the gasket makes uniform contact all around. Look for warped door, torn gasket, or shelves preventing closure.
  • Allow recovery time: If you recently loaded many warm bottles, allow 12–24 hours for the temperature to stabilize. H1 may clear automatically.
  • Verify cooling system: Listen for compressor (or Peltier module fan on thermoelectric models) running. Feel the condenser at the back; it should be warm when cooling.
  • Clean condenser: Dust-clogged condensers on compressor models reduce cooling. Unplug and clean with a soft brush and vacuum.
  • Check internal fan: Ensure the evaporator fan is running when cooling is active. If not, see fan-related faults.
  • If no cooling at all: A failed compressor, Peltier module, or refrigerant leak is possible. These require professional diagnosis and repair.
