LED Lighting Circuit Failure
Wine cooler interior light not working, cooling and display normal
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Failed LED light strip or module, Faulty door switch not signaling light on, Loose light connector, Failed LED driver on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before working on the light assembly or control panel.
- Check door switch: Open and close the door while watching the display or listening for a beep. If the unit does not detect door opening, the door switch may be faulty and also prevent the light from turning on.
- Access light module: Remove the interior light cover (usually clipped or screwed). Inspect the LED strip or module for burn marks or discoloration.
- Test connections: Ensure the light connector is firmly seated. If accessible, test for voltage at the light connector when the door is open (only if you are competent and using proper insulated probes).
- Replace LED module: If the module is visibly damaged or has no continuity, replace it with a Montpellier-compatible LED light assembly.
- Control board check: If a new light does not work and the door switch is good, the LED driver circuit on the main PCB may be faulty and require board replacement.
