Possible Causes

Blocked condensate drain hole, Cracked or displaced drain tube, Overfilling drip tray, Excessive condensation due to door seal leak

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit and mop up any water to prevent slipping. Avoid standing in water while working on the appliance.

  • Locate drain hole: Inside the cabinet, at the rear near the bottom, there is usually a small drain hole that channels condensate to a rear drip tray.
  • Clear blockage: Use a soft pipe cleaner, cotton bud, or flexible plastic rod to gently clear any debris or mold from the drain hole. Flush with a small amount of warm water.
  • Check rear drain tube: Remove the rear panel and inspect the drain tube leading to the drip tray above the compressor. Ensure it is properly connected and not cracked.
  • Empty and clean drip tray: Carefully remove the drip tray, empty it, and clean away slime or mold. Reinstall securely so it does not overflow.
  • Inspect door gasket: A poor seal can cause excessive condensation. Repair or replace the gasket if you see gaps or damage.
