Wine cooler making loud humming or buzzing noise from rear

Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before touching the compressor or condenser. Be cautious of hot surfaces.

• Level the unit: Use a spirit level and adjust the front leveling feet so the Montpellier wine cooler is stable and does not rock.
• Tighten panels: Check the rear metal panel and any brackets or drip trays. Tighten loose screws and add foam tape where metal parts vibrate against each other.
• Inspect compressor mounts: Look at the rubber grommets under the compressor. If they are cracked or missing, replace them with suitable compressor mounting grommets.
• Reposition condenser: Ensure the condenser coil is not touching the cabinet or other metal parts. Gently bend or pad it to eliminate contact points.
• Test noise: Restore power and listen. If the compressor itself is excessively loud internally, it may be failing and require professional replacement.
