Possible Causes
Low refrigerant charge due to micro-leak, Partially blocked capillary tube, Restricted filter-drier, Weak compressor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not attempt to open the sealed refrigeration system yourself. Unplug the unit before any basic checks.
- Basic airflow check: Ensure the condenser coil at the back or bottom is clean and that there is adequate ventilation space around the wine cooler as specified by mQuvée.
- Condenser fan: Verify that the condenser fan (if fitted) runs when the compressor is on. Replace the fan if it does not operate.
- Temperature test: After 20–30 minutes of operation, the condenser should be warm and the evaporator cold. If both are only mildly cool, a sealed system issue is likely.
- Inspect for oil stains: Look for oily residue on refrigerant joints or around the compressor, which can indicate a leak.
- Do not attempt recharge: Refrigerant recovery, leak detection, and recharging must be performed by a certified refrigeration technician with the correct refrigerant and tools.
- Service call: Provide the technician with the model number, serial number, and E9 code description to speed diagnosis.
