Possible Causes
Faulty NTC temperature sensor reading too warm, Stuck relay on main control PCB keeping compressor on, Miscalibrated control board, Sensor not properly attached to evaporator or cabinet wall
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors or PCB.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an independent thermometer inside to confirm actual temperature versus display.
- Check sensor placement: Ensure cabinet and evaporator sensors are firmly attached and not hanging in free air or touching very cold metal directly.
- Inspect wiring: Look for damaged sensor wires that could cause incorrect readings.
- Replace suspect sensor: If readings are clearly off, replace the cabinet NTC sensor with the correct mQuvée part.
- Control board: If freezing persists with a new sensor, the main control PCB may be misreading or stuck driving the compressor. Replace the PCB.
- Interim measure: Raise the set temperature a few degrees and monitor until permanent repairs are made.
