Possible Causes
Refrigerant leak in evaporator or tubing, Partially blocked capillary tube, Weak compressor, Dirty condenser coil reducing heat rejection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not open the sealed refrigeration system yourself. Unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Check door seal: Inspect the door gasket for gaps or tears. Replace if it does not seal evenly all around.
- Ventilation: Ensure the cooler has the required clearance around sides, top, and rear as specified by mQuvée. Poor ventilation can mimic low-charge symptoms.
- Clean condenser: Vacuum or brush dust from the condenser coil and fan area at the back or bottom of the unit.
- Monitor temperatures: Place an accurate thermometer inside and compare to the setpoint. If the compressor runs constantly and cannot reach within 2–3°C of setpoint, a sealed system issue is likely.
- Look for oil stains: Check joints and coils for oily residue indicating a refrigerant leak.
- Professional service: Contact a certified refrigeration technician to perform leak detection, repair, evacuation, and recharge with the correct refrigerant.
