Possible Causes
Open-circuit lower NTC sensor, Shorted lower NTC sensor, Broken sensor harness at cabinet pass-through, Oxidized connector on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the wine cooler before removing panels or covers.
- Verify reading: Place a thermometer in the lower zone for at least 30 minutes. If the display shows E2 or an unrealistic temperature, suspect the sensor.
- Locate lower sensor: Find the small probe or plastic cover on the rear or side wall of the lower compartment. Remove the cover to expose the sensor.
- Inspect sensor and wiring: Check for moisture damage, broken insulation, or a loose sensor. Gently tug the wires to ensure they are secure.
- Access main board: Remove the rear lower panel and locate the main control board. Identify the connector for the lower NTC sensor and reseat it.
- Replace sensor: If the wiring is intact and E2 remains, replace the lower temperature sensor with the correct NEEDONE NTC probe. Route and secure the new sensor as originally installed.
- Power up and test: Reassemble, plug in the unit, and confirm that the E2 code clears and the lower zone temperature displays correctly.
