• Check power supply: Plug the unit directly into a properly grounded wall outlet. Avoid extension cords or power strips. If possible, use a plug-in voltage tester to confirm normal voltage (typically 110–120V in North America).
• Verify ventilation: Ensure the cooler has the required clearance around the sides, back, and top. Remove any objects blocking the rear grille or front kick plate.
• Clean condenser: Remove the rear lower panel and clean the condenser coil and fan area thoroughly.
• Reset control: Leave the unit unplugged for 15–20 minutes to allow the compressor protection circuit to reset. Plug back in and monitor operation.
• Board inspection: If EC returns quickly, inspect the main control board for burnt components or discoloration. Replacement of the board may be required.
