Possible Causes

Door left open, Recent warm loading of bottles, Failed evaporator fan, Blocked air vents between zones, Refrigeration system fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: This is typically an alarm, not an electrical fault, but always unplug before removing panels.

  • Check doors: Ensure the door is fully closed and the gasket is sealing all around. Remove any bottles preventing full closure.
  • Allow recovery: If you recently loaded many warm bottles, allow 12–24 hours for the temperature to stabilize. Keep the door closed as much as possible.
  • Verify fan operation: Listen for the internal fan when the compressor is running. If silent, inspect the evaporator fan as described in the E6 procedure.
  • Check vents: Make sure air vents between upper and lower zones are not blocked by bottles or shelves.
  • Monitor: If the temperature does not drop and H1 persists after several hours, further diagnosis of the cooling system (compressor, refrigerant, sensors) is needed.
