Possible Causes
Clogged condensate drain hole, Disconnected drain tube, Cracked drain pan, Excessive door openings causing condensation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before working inside or behind it.
- Locate drain hole: Inside the cabinet, look for a small drain hole or channel at the rear bottom area.
- Clear blockage: Use a soft pipe cleaner, cotton swab, or flexible plastic strip to gently clear any debris or mold from the drain hole. Do not use sharp metal objects.
- Flush with warm water: Use a turkey baster or syringe to flush warm water through the drain to ensure it flows freely to the rear drain pan.
- Check rear drain pan: Remove the rear lower panel and inspect the drain tube and pan above the compressor. Ensure the tube is connected and the pan is not cracked.
- Reduce condensation: Avoid leaving the door open for long periods and ensure the gasket seals properly.
