Possible Causes
Failed low-voltage power supply on main PCB, Short circuit in LED lighting circuit, Shorted component on display PCB, Loose neutral or live connection at terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: This involves mains voltage. If you are not experienced with electrical work, contact a qualified technician. Always unplug the appliance before opening any electrical compartment.
Steps to address E8:
- Check mains supply: Verify that the outlet provides stable voltage and that the plug and cord are not damaged.
- Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear service panel and check the terminal block where the mains cable connects. Tighten any loose screws and look for signs of overheating.
- Isolate LED circuit: If possible, disconnect the LED lighting harness from the main PCB and power the unit. If E8 disappears, the LED module or wiring may be shorted and should be replaced.
- Board replacement: If E8 persists with all peripheral loads disconnected, the internal power supply on the main control PCB is likely faulty. Replace the main control PCB with a Neff-approved part; this is best done by a professional.
