Possible Causes
Compressor mounting grommets worn or missing, Condenser tubing touching cabinet, Loose rear panel or base frame, Unit not leveled causing vibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before adjusting components at the rear.
Steps to reduce noise:
- Level the unit: Use a spirit level and adjust the front leveling feet so the cabinet is stable and does not rock.
- Tighten panels: Check and tighten screws on the rear service panel and base frame.
- Inspect condenser tubing: Gently bend any copper tubes that are touching the cabinet or each other to create a small clearance. Do this carefully to avoid kinking.
- Check compressor mounts: Ensure rubber grommets under the compressor are intact. Replace worn grommets to isolate vibration.
