Display shows E6 and the fan does not run or runs intermittently; cooling is weak or uneven.

Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before accessing the fan.

Steps:

• 1. Listen for fan operation: With the unit plugged in (before disassembly), close the door and listen for the internal fan. If silent while the compressor or Peltier is running, suspect a fan issue. Then unplug.
• 2. Access the fan: Remove the interior rear panel or duct cover where the air vents are located. On some NutriChef models, the fan is behind a plastic shroud.
• 3. Inspect for obstructions: Check for ice buildup, loose wires, or labels rubbing against the fan blades. Clear any obstructions and ensure the blade spins freely by hand.
• 4. Check wiring: Trace the fan wires to the control board. Reseat the connector and inspect for corrosion or broken pins.
• 5. Test fan motor: With the fan disconnected, measure resistance across the motor leads. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. If you have a suitable low-voltage DC source (for DC fans), you can briefly power the fan to confirm operation.
• 6. Replace fan: Install a compatible NutriChef evaporator/circulation fan motor. Ensure the fan rotates in the correct direction and that wires are secured away from the blades.
• 7. Control board: If a known-good fan does not run and E6 persists, the fan driver on the main control board may be defective and the board will need replacement.
