Possible Causes
Cabinet temperature above design range due to ambient heat, Failed cooling system (compressor or Peltier), Thermistor reading above expected value, Door left open or gasket leak
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before internal inspection.
Steps:
- 1. Check ambient conditions: Ensure the NutriChef wine cooler is not installed in a very hot room or near an oven or direct sunlight. Ambient temperature should be within the specified range in the manual.
- 2. Verify door seal: Inspect the door gasket for gaps, tears, or warping. Close the door on a sheet of paper at several points; if it pulls out easily, adjust hinges or replace the gasket.
- 3. Confirm cooling operation: Listen for compressor or Peltier module and fans running. If they are not running, troubleshoot the cooling system (compressor, Peltier, fans, control board).
- 4. Test thermistor: If the interior is reasonably cool but the display shows Hi, test and replace the cabinet thermistor as needed.
- 5. Control board: If cooling components work and the sensor is good, the main control board may be misreading temperature and require replacement.
