Possible Causes

Open-circuit cabinet thermistor, Broken thermistor lead or connector, Sensor pulled out of its mounting location, Faulty control board sensor input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before servicing.

Steps:

  • 1. Confirm actual temperature: Use a separate thermometer to check the interior temperature. If the display shows very low or error but the interior is warm, suspect a sensor fault.
  • 2. Inspect sensor mount: Ensure the thermistor probe is still in place on the interior wall and has not been pulled out or damaged by bottles.
  • 3. Check wiring continuity: Remove the rear panel and trace the thermistor wires to the control board. Look for breaks, especially where the wire passes through the cabinet.
  • 4. Test with multimeter: Disconnect the thermistor and measure resistance. An infinite reading (OL) indicates an open sensor. Replace with a NutriChef-compatible thermistor.
  • 5. Replace control board if needed: If a new sensor does not resolve L1, the main control board may be misreading the sensor and should be replaced.
