Possible Causes
Cabinet temperature below design range, Thermistor reading below expected value, Control board firmware lockout, Faulty thermistor calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal high-voltage work is usually required, but unplug the unit if removing panels.
Steps:
- 1. Verify actual temperature: Use a separate thermometer to check the interior. If it is extremely cold (near or below freezing), raise the set temperature and allow the unit to warm slightly.
- 2. Power cycle: Unplug the cooler for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in to clear any temporary logic error.
- 3. Check sensor placement: Ensure the thermistor is not directly touching the evaporator plate or a cold spot; reposition slightly if possible.
- 4. Test thermistor: If Lo persists and the interior is not excessively cold, test the thermistor resistance. Replace if readings are far from expected values.
- 5. Firmware/board: If sensor is good, the control board may have a firmware or calibration issue and may need replacement.
