Possible Causes
Shorted or mispositioned thermistor, Stuck relay on control board powering cooling continuously, Incorrect temperature setting, Control board firmware fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before moving sensors or accessing the board.
Steps:
- 1. Verify settings: Confirm the set temperature is appropriate for wine (typically 45–65°F depending on type).
- 2. Check sensor placement: Ensure the thermistor is not directly on the evaporator plate or in the coldest corner. Reposition slightly if possible.
- 3. Test thermistor: Measure resistance and compare to expected values. Replace if shorted or out of range.
- 4. Inspect control board: If the cooling circuit remains energized even when the set temperature is reached, the relay on the main control board may be stuck closed. Replace the board.
