Possible Causes
Clogged evaporator drain hole, Disconnected or cracked drain tube, Excessive condensation from door gasket leak, Unit not level causing water to overflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooler before working inside. Wipe up any standing water to prevent slipping.
- Level the unit: Use a spirit level to ensure the cooler is slightly tilted back so water flows to the rear drain. Adjust front leveling feet as needed.
- Locate and clear drain: Inside the cabinet, find the small drain hole under the evaporator panel. Use a soft brush, cotton swab, or pipe cleaner to remove debris. Flush with warm water.
- Check rear drain tube: From the back, locate the drain tube leading to the drip tray above the compressor. Ensure it is connected, not kinked, and not cracked. Replace the "Drain tube" if damaged.
- Inspect drip tray: Make sure the tray is properly seated and not overflowing. Clean any mold or debris.
- Gasket inspection: Replace a leaking "Door gasket" to reduce excess condensation.
