Possible Causes
Out-of-calibration thermistor, Poor sensor placement, Main PCB ADC (analog-to-digital converter) error, Control software glitch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before testing sensors or accessing the control board.
- 1. Verify with thermometer: Place a reliable thermometer in the center of the cabinet and compare readings after several hours.
- 2. Inspect sensor placement: Ensure the cabinet thermistor is not touching the evaporator plate or directly exposed to door openings.
- 3. Test thermistor: Measure resistance and compare to Samsung’s spec. Replace if significantly out of range.
- 4. Reset control: Power cycle the unit to clear any temporary software errors.
- 5. Replace main PCB: If the sensor is accurate but the display remains incorrect, the main control board may be misreading the sensor and should be replaced.
Note: Small differences (1–2°C) between display and actual temperature can be normal.
