Safety first: Unplug the wine cooler before removing internal panels.

Steps to address E17:

  • Identify affected zone: Determine whether the upper or lower zone is showing the error.
  • Check zone divider: On dual-zone Siemens models, ensure the internal divider and air channels are not blocked.
  • Inspect zone sensors: Locate and test the NTC sensors for the affected zone as per sensor testing procedures. Replace if faulty.
  • Check harness: Follow the wiring between zones and to the main PCB, looking for damage or loose connectors.

If E17 remains after sensor and wiring checks, the zone control circuitry on the main PCB or a secondary board may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
