Possible Causes

Faulty touch control panel, Moisture ingress behind control fascia, Loose ribbon cable between display and main PCB, Damaged control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the wine cooler from mains before removing the control panel.

Steps to address E8:

  • Power reset: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. Sometimes E8 is a temporary control lockup.
  • Dry the control area: If the cooler is built-in under a worktop, ensure there is no condensation dripping onto the control panel. Wipe the fascia dry.
  • Remove control fascia: Carefully unclip or unscrew the front control panel. Avoid pulling on the ribbon cable.
  • Inspect connections: Check the ribbon cable and connectors for corrosion, kinks, or partial insertion. Reseat all plugs firmly.
  • Check for damage: Look for burn marks or cracked components on the control PCB.
  • Replace control panel: If the touch keys remain unresponsive or E8 persists, replace the control panel / display PCB with a Siemens-specific part.

If replacing the control panel does not resolve E8, the main control PCB or wiring harness may be at fault and should be evaluated by a technician.
