Possible Causes

Short between sensor wires in harness, Multiple NTC sensors out of range, Damaged wiring loom from door hinge movement, Faulty analog-to-digital converter on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before inspecting wiring or boards.

Steps to address E9:

  • Visual wiring inspection: Check the main wiring harness from the control panel to the rear of the unit, especially around sharp metal edges and hinge areas. Look for crushed, cut, or melted wires.
  • Check sensor connectors: Reseat all temperature sensor connectors on the main PCB. A poor connection can trigger a general sensor error.
  • Isolate sensors: If you have a multimeter, disconnect each NTC sensor one by one and measure resistance. Replace any that are open or shorted.
  • Repair harness damage: If wires are damaged, repair with proper crimp connectors or replace the affected harness section. Insulate with heat-shrink tubing.

If E9 persists after verifying all sensors and wiring, the main control PCB is likely defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
