Possible Causes
Cabinet NTC sensor out of calibration, Sensor not properly positioned, Faulty main control PCB temperature regulation, Ambient sensor reading incorrect
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before accessing sensors or control boards.
Steps to correct:
- Verify with thermometer: Place an accurate thermometer inside and compare to the display. Note the difference.
- Check sensor placement: Ensure the cabinet sensor is correctly mounted on the liner wall and not touching the evaporator or a cold air outlet.
- Inspect sensor wiring: Look for damage or loose connections at the sensor and main PCB.
- Replace cabinet sensor: If misreading is large and persistent, replace the cabinet temperature sensor (NTC).
If overcooling continues with a new sensor, the main control PCB may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
