Possible Causes
Defective ambient NTC sensor, Sensor dislodged from grille area, Wiring harness damage near front kick plate
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before working near electrical components.
Steps:
- Locate ambient sensor: On many Simzlife wine coolers, the ambient sensor is mounted near the front grille or behind the control panel to measure room temperature.
- Clean area: Vacuum dust from the front grille and around the sensor to ensure proper airflow and accurate readings.
- Check mounting: Make sure the sensor is not hanging loose or pressed directly against warm components like the compressor discharge line.
- Inspect wiring: Look for frayed or pinched wires around the base of the cabinet and where the harness enters the control compartment.
- Replace sensor if needed: If the sensor is physically damaged or tests open/shorted with a multimeter, replace it with a compatible Simzlife ambient NTC sensor.
- Reset: After replacement, unplug the unit for 2–3 minutes, then power back on and verify that the E3 code is cleared.
