Possible Causes
Clogged condensate drain tube, Disconnected drain hose, Excessive door openings causing condensation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before working inside. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.
Steps:
- Locate drain: Inside the cabinet, find the small drain hole or channel at the rear bottom area.
- Clear blockage: Use a soft pipe cleaner or flexible plastic strip to gently clear any debris or mold from the drain hole. Do not use metal objects that can puncture the drain pan.
- Check rear drain hose: Remove the rear panel and locate the drain hose leading to the external drain pan. Ensure it is connected and not kinked or blocked.
- Clean drain pan: Empty and clean the drain pan near the compressor. Ensure it is properly positioned to catch water.
- Reduce condensation: Avoid leaving the door open for long periods and keep room humidity under control.
