Safety: Unplug the unit before working on the door switch or control panel.

Steps to fix always-on light:

Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and the gasket is not obstructed.
Test reed switch: Locate the reed switch in the cabinet frame and test it with a magnet and multimeter. Replace if it does not open when the magnet is present.
Verify door magnet: Confirm the magnet in the door edge is present and correctly positioned. Replace if missing or loose.
Control PCB: If switch and magnet are good, the control board may be misinterpreting the signal and may need replacement.

Interim solution: You can disconnect the light connector to prevent overheating until the fault is repaired.

Interior light stays on even when the door is closed, causing heat and higher internal temperature.
