Possible Causes
Failed LED backlight on display, Loose display connector, Low-voltage supply issue on main PCB, Damaged display board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing the display area.
Steps to restore display:
- 1. Check for faint numbers: In a dark room, look closely to see if digits are faintly visible. If so, the backlight is likely failed.
- 2. Access display board: Remove the front bezel and locate the display PCB. Reseat its connector to the main board.
- 3. Inspect for damage: Look for burnt LEDs or components on the display board.
- 4. Replace display board: Install a new "STAIGIS display board" if the original is defective.
Note: If the unit cools properly, you can continue to use it while waiting for parts, but you will not be able to monitor temperature accurately.
