Steps to restore control response:
- 1. Clean surface: Wipe the touch area with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners that can damage the panel.
- 2. Hard reset: Unplug for 10–15 minutes, then plug back in and test.
- 3. Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control bezel and check the flat cable between the touch panel and the display/control board. Reseat both ends.
- 4. Check for moisture: If condensation is present, dry the area and allow the unit to sit unplugged until fully dry.
- 5. Replace touch panel: If still unresponsive, replace the "STAIGIS touch control panel" assembly.
