Possible Causes

Corrupted control board memory (EEPROM), Loose ribbon cable between display and main PCB, Failed touch control/display board, Main PCB logic failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or accessing the electronics.

Steps to address EE:

  • 1. Hard reset: Unplug the wine cooler for at least 15 minutes to fully discharge the control board. Plug it back in and check if the error clears.
  • 2. Inspect control connections: Remove the front control panel bezel and locate the ribbon cable or harness connecting the display/touch board to the main PCB. Reseat both ends carefully.
  • 3. Check for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or liquid intrusion around the control panel. Dry the area thoroughly and allow the unit to sit unplugged for several hours if moisture is present.
  • 4. Visual inspection of boards: Examine both the display board and main PCB for burn marks, cracked solder joints, or corrosion.
  • 5. Replace suspect board: If reseating cables does not resolve the issue, replace the "STAIGIS display/control panel board" first, as it is often easier and less expensive. If EE persists, the "main control board" may also need replacement.

Note: Firmware programming for replacement boards should match your exact model number. If unsure, consult STAIGIS support or a professional technician.
