How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.
Steps to address Er:
- 1. Clean the touch panel: Wipe the control surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove any residue that might cause false touches. Dry thoroughly.
- 2. Hard reset: Unplug the cooler for 10–15 minutes, then plug it back in and test the buttons.
- 3. Inspect keypad connection: Remove the control bezel and check the ribbon cable from the keypad to the display/control board. Reseat it carefully.
- 4. Check for physical damage: Look for cracks in the touch panel or signs of liquid intrusion. If damaged, replace the "STAIGIS touch control panel".
Note: If the error persists after keypad replacement, the main control board may also need replacement.
