Possible Causes
Open-circuit cabinet NTC sensor, Broken sensor lead, Disconnected sensor plug at main PCB, Faulty sensor input on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the STAIGIS wine cooler before working on internal wiring.
Steps to address L1:
- 1. Verify actual temperature: Use a separate thermometer to confirm that the interior is not actually below the displayed value. If the display shows unrealistically low, suspect the sensor.
- 2. Inspect sensor connection: Locate the cabinet NTC sensor and ensure its connector is fully seated on the main PCB. Look for broken or pulled-out wires.
- 3. Test sensor: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance. An infinite reading (open circuit) indicates a failed sensor or broken wire. Replace with a new "STAIGIS cabinet NTC sensor".
- 4. Check harness continuity: If the sensor itself measures correctly, test continuity along the harness from sensor to board. Repair or replace the harness if open.
- 5. Reset and monitor: After replacement, plug in the unit and confirm that L1 clears and the temperature display stabilizes.
Note: Persistent L1 with a known-good sensor and harness points to a defective main control board.
