Possible Causes
Control locked to minimum setpoint, Miscalibrated temperature sensor, Firmware limitation for ambient conditions, Control panel fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal high-voltage work is required for basic checks, but unplug the unit if removing panels.
Steps to address Lo:
- 1. Check user settings: Consult the STAIGIS user manual to confirm the minimum allowable set temperature. Lo may simply indicate you have reached the lowest setpoint.
- 2. Attempt unlock/reset: Some models require holding specific buttons (e.g., UP and DOWN together for 3–5 seconds) to unlock or reset the control. Try the documented key combinations.
- 3. Verify actual temperature: Use a thermometer to ensure the interior is not excessively cold. If the unit is overcooling, suspect a sensor or control issue.
- 4. Inspect and test sensor: If overcooling, test the cabinet NTC sensor for proper resistance. Replace if out of specification.
Note: If Lo persists and the unit does not respond to button presses, the control panel board may be faulty and require replacement.
