Steps to quiet the fan:

• 1. Access fan: Remove interior shelves and the rear panel to expose the evaporator fan.
• 2. Clean blades: Use a soft brush to remove dust from the fan blades and surrounding shroud.
• 3. Check for rubbing: Spin the fan by hand and listen for scraping. Adjust the shroud or reposition wires to eliminate contact.
• 4. Replace fan motor: If the motor is noisy due to worn bearings, replace it with a "STAIGIS evaporator fan motor".
