How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing interior panels.
Step 1 – Compare zones
- Note which zone is warm and whether its fan runs when the compressor is on.
Step 2 – Access warm zone evaporator
- Remove shelves and the rear panel of the warm zone.
- Check for ice blocking the evaporator or fan.
Step 3 – Test fan and damper
- If the fan does not run, replace the evaporator fan motor.
- If equipped with a damper and it does not move or is stuck closed, replace the damper assembly.
Step 4 – Sensor and board
- Replace the zone thermistor if readings are inaccurate.
- If components test good, the zone control board may be faulty and require professional replacement.
