Possible Causes
Faulty compartment thermistor reading low, Stuck relay on main control board, Miscalibrated control settings, Airflow imbalance between zones
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing sensors or control boards.
Step 1 – Verify actual temperature
- Place an accurate thermometer in the center of the wine compartment.
- Compare the reading to the set temperature and display.
- If the actual temperature is significantly lower than setpoint, proceed.
Step 2 – Adjust setpoint and observe
- Raise the set temperature by 3–5°F and monitor for several hours.
- If the cabinet continues to overcool, suspect a sensor or control issue.
Step 3 – Inspect thermistor
- Locate and inspect the compartment thermistor as described for EC24.
- Check for loose connections or damage; replace if suspect.
Step 4 – Control board evaluation
- If a new thermistor does not correct overcooling, the main control board may have a stuck relay keeping the compressor on too long.
- Board replacement is typically required and should be done by a qualified technician.
