Possible Causes
Door left open or not sealing, Recent warm loading of bottles, Failed evaporator fan, Refrigerant leak or weak compressor, Dirty condenser coils reducing cooling
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No immediate electrical hazard, but unplug before removing panels.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door is fully closing and the gasket is not obstructed by shelves or bottles.
- Inspect door gasket: Look for gaps, tears, or warped sections. Replace the door gasket if it does not seal evenly all around.
- Allow recovery time: If you recently loaded many warm bottles, allow 12–24 hours for temperature to stabilize. Avoid frequent door openings.
- Verify fan operation: Listen for the evaporator fan running when the compressor is on. If silent, inspect and replace the evaporator fan motor if necessary.
- Clean condenser: Pull the unit out and clean dust from the rear condenser coils and grille with a brush and vacuum.
- If temperature does not drop: A sealed‑system issue (refrigerant leak, weak compressor) may exist. Contact a qualified refrigeration technician to check pressures and repair the sealed system.
