Possible Causes
Loose display board connector, Damaged ribbon cable, Faulty display PCB, Faulty main control PCB communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect the appliance from mains before removing the control panel.
- Access the control panel: Remove the screws securing the top/front control panel of the Teka wine cooler. Carefully pull the panel forward.
- Inspect connectors: Check the ribbon cable or harness between the display board and the main control PCB. Reseat all connectors firmly.
- Check for moisture or corrosion: Look for signs of condensation or liquid ingress on the display PCB. If present, dry the board thoroughly and clean light corrosion with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- Visual inspection: Examine the display board for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or damaged tracks.
- Test operation: Reassemble temporarily, restore power, and see if E8 clears and the display functions normally.
- Replace faulty board: If the issue persists, replace the user interface/display PCB with a Teka-compatible part. If a new display board does not resolve the fault, the main control PCB may also need replacement.
