Possible Causes
Internal PCB component failure, Power supply section fault, Corrupted control logic, Burnt relay contacts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: Unplug the wine cooler before accessing the electronics. Do not attempt component-level repair unless you are qualified.
- Power reset: Disconnect power for at least 10 minutes, then reconnect. If E9 reappears immediately, proceed with inspection.
- Access the main control PCB: Remove the rear upper or lower service panel (depending on model) to expose the control board enclosure. Open the enclosure carefully.
- Visual inspection: Look for burnt areas, swollen capacitors, or damaged relays on the PCB. Check for signs of moisture or insect damage.
- Check connectors: Reseat all harness connectors to the PCB, ensuring firm contact and correct orientation.
- Verify supply voltage: With the unit powered (only if you are trained and using proper precautions), verify that the PCB is receiving correct mains voltage and that low-voltage outputs (e.g., 12 VDC) are present. Then disconnect power again.
- Replace PCB: If visible damage is present or E9 persists after reseating connectors, replace the main control PCB with the correct Teka part number. Transfer any configuration jumpers as per service documentation.
- Professional help: Because the control PCB is critical to safe operation, replacement is best performed by an authorized technician.
