Possible Causes

Failed upper zone NTC sensor, Loose sensor connector, Damaged harness to upper zone, Faulty control PCB channel for upper zone

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect mains power before removing interior panels.

  • Identify upper zone sensor: In dual-zone models, the upper compartment has its own NTC sensor, usually behind the upper rear panel.
  • Remove upper shelves and panel: Take out racks and unscrew the upper rear liner to access the sensor.
  • Inspect and test: Check the sensor's physical condition and wiring. Measure resistance at room temperature and compare with expected NTC values. Replace if open, shorted, or out of range.
  • Reconnect and test: After installing a new sensor, reassemble the panel, restore power, and verify that F1 clears and the upper zone cools correctly.
  • PCB diagnosis: If the sensor and wiring are good but F1 persists, the control PCB's upper-zone input may be defective and require replacement.
