Possible Causes
Door left open or not sealing, Blocked air circulation, Failed compressor or refrigerant leak, Faulty cabinet temperature sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: This is usually an operational alarm, but unplug the unit before any disassembly.
- Check door and gasket: Ensure the door is fully closing and the gasket is intact and clean. Replace a torn or deformed gasket.
- Verify ventilation: Confirm that the Teka wine cooler has adequate clearance around the sides, top, and rear as specified in the manual. Remove any obstructions blocking the rear condenser.
- Inspect condenser: Clean dust and lint from the condenser coil and ventilation grilles using a soft brush or vacuum.
- Monitor compressor operation: After restoring power, listen for the compressor and internal fan. If they do not run, investigate compressor start components and fan motor.
- Check temperature sensor: If the interior feels cold but the display shows high temperature, test the cabinet NTC sensor as described for code E1 and replace if faulty.
- Refrigeration system issues: If the compressor runs continuously but the cabinet does not cool, there may be a refrigerant leak or blocked capillary tube. This requires a certified refrigeration technician.
