Possible Causes
Faulty door switch or reed sensor, Misaligned door magnet, Stuck relay or transistor on PCB controlling light
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before working on the door switch or PCB.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door fully closes and compresses the gasket. Adjust hinges if necessary.
- Test door switch: For mechanical switches, press the switch manually and see if the light turns off. For magnetic sensors, move a magnet near the sensor and observe the light. Replace the switch or sensor if it does not respond.
- Inspect magnet: Verify that the door magnet is present and correctly positioned.
- PCB light control: If the switch is good but the light remains on, the control PCB's light driver may be shorted and require board replacement.
